Sebastian Heinzel to switch from the Supervisory Board to the operative business
area and assume responsibility for strategic planning
The Heinzel Group is pleased to announce that the takeover of the former SCA publication paper mill in Laakirchen, Austria, agreed in December 2012, was completed on April 2, 2013. With a turnover of EUR 308 m in 2012, Laakirchen Papier AG, as the company will be known in future, is set to make a sizeable contribution to Heinzel Group growth.
The Heinzel Holding has purchased the entire stock of Papierfabrik SCA Graphic Laakirchen AG. The transaction will probably be completed in the first quarter of 2013, following the granting of approval by the anti-trust authorities.
Europapier Group finally acquired 100% of the local paper merchant businesses in Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia from PaperlinX.
In October of 2012, Heinzel has reestablished a strong presence in Spain by opening a new Heinzel Sales Liaison office with Marc Sabate under the name of PAPERBOARD IBERIA S.L. – SPAIN.
Proceeds to be reinvested in Austria in projects for the future
In May 2012 Heinzel Sales was present at DRUPA Düsseldorf. During these days we welcomed 540 visitors from 95 countries all around the world.
Alfred Heinzel, chairman and CEO of the Heinzel Group, has announced the construction of a new paper machine at the Pöls site. The total investment volume amounts to 115 million Euros.
